Work with us

Pwnshow keeps no standing recruitment pipeline. We are a small agency built around a single question and a distinctive method, so we grow deliberately — adding people when their work sharpens ours.

We have no fixed openings today. But we are always interested in two kinds of collaborator.

Partners

For those who want a stake in what the agency becomes.

We are looking for partners who share the agency's mission, vision, and method — people who want not only to join our investigations, but to help build the institution around them.

A partner is as comfortable conceiving an adversarial process as navigating the other dimensions that keep an independent agency alive: fundraising and development, institutional and standards relationships, editorial and curatorial judgement, and the stewardship of our ethics and independence.

If you recognise your own practice in ours — across security research, policy, and the arts — and you want a hand in what Pwnshow becomes, we would like to hear from you.

Research Assistants / Internships

Project-shaped engagements, matched to the work at hand.

From time to time we take on research assistants and interns whose skills and interests are well suited to a particular investigation, or to our wider research aims.

These engagements are project-shaped rather than permanent. They might involve adversarial technical work, policy and standards research, archival and data work, or contributing to a studio production.

We welcome speculative expressions of interest: tell us what you work on and what you want to learn, and we will keep you in mind as investigations take shape.

How to reach us

There is no application form. Write to us with a short note on who you are, the work you would want to do with us, and anything that shows how you think — a paper, a repository, a portfolio, a piece of writing. Tell us which of the two paths above fits, and we will take it from there.

We read everything; we reply when there is a conversation to have. Let's outplay.

Let's outplay.
